Who we are

Arizona's Vision Eye Care Center is an independent, doctor-owned optometry practice at 15215 S 48th St Ste 180, Phoenix, AZ 85044, in Ahwatukee Foothills. Dr. Mark Page founded it in 1994 after his own father experienced vision loss. We provide comprehensive eye exams, specialty and scleral contact lenses, dry eye treatment, orthokeratology and myopia management, and we serve Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Gilbert, Mesa, Scottsdale and the wider East Valley from a single location. We are open Mon to Thu 9am to 6pm, Fri 8am to 5pm and we schedule 2 patients an hour.

The cases other practices refer out

A general practice can identify keratoconus. Fitting a scleral lens on that cornea so the patient sees well and stays comfortable all day is a different skill, built through volume and iteration rather than through equipment. The same is true of myopia management: prescribing a stronger lens each year is straightforward, but measuring growth, choosing between orthokeratology, atropine and peripheral-defocus optics, and changing course when the numbers say a treatment is underperforming is a programme rather than an appointment.

We have fitted specialty lenses since the 1990s. These are the services patients drive from Scottsdale, Queen Creek and Maricopa for, and they are the reason we have kept a 2-patient-per-hour schedule for thirty years.

Why patients choose us

  • Two patients an hour

We schedule 2 patients an hour rather than the five or six common at high-volume chains. It costs us money and it is why nothing gets skipped.

  • Independent since 1994

Doctor-owned, never sold to a chain. Nobody here has a sales quota, so a recommendation is just a recommendation.

  • Specialty depth

Scleral lenses, Ortho-K and myopia management are fitting crafts. We have done them since the 1990s.

  • Transparent pricing

Published ranges, verified insurance before your visit, and a written cost before anything is ordered.

  • Every age, one practice

From a six-month-old's first exam to cataract co-management. Three generations of some Ahwatukee families.

  • Vietnamese spoken

Dr. Nguyen practises in English and Vietnamese, so a diagnosis is discussed in your first language.

Including where we are not the right choice

What patients say

We do not print a page of hand-picked quotes, because testimonials chosen by the business are not evidence of anything. Our reviews live on Google and Yelp where we cannot edit or filter them, including the critical ones. That is the standard worth judging us by.

Read the negative ones too, and read how they were responded to. That tells you more about a practice than any five-star review does.

Modern technology, a simple process

We image the retina with Optomap ultra-widefield imaging, capturing over eighty percent of it in under a second with no dilating drops. That means most patients drive themselves home, and it creates a permanent record so change over years is visible rather than remembered.

Book and we verify your insurance

You find out what is covered before you arrive, not at the front desk afterward.

We show you your own retina on screen and explain what we found, with a written plan and a stated follow-up.

Common questions

What makes Arizona's Vision different from other eye doctors?

We schedule 2 patients an hour instead of five or six. That single decision costs the practice roughly two thirds of the potential revenue per exam room, and it is what makes room for the parts of an exam that disappear under time pressure: the history, binocular vision testing, a careful retinal look, and an explanation you can act on.

Do you offer Ortho-K and myopia management for children?

Yes, and it is one of the main reasons families drive here from across the valley. We have fitted children in specialty contact lenses since the 1990s. We use orthokeratology, low-dose atropine, myopia-control soft lenses and myopia-control spectacle lenses, chosen by what suits the child rather than what is easiest to dispense.

Can you help with hard-to-fit contact lenses and chronic dry eye?

Yes. Scleral and specialty lens fitting for keratoconus, post-surgical and irregular corneas is core work here. For dry eye, we determine which type you have before treating, because evaporative and aqueous deficient dry eye need genuinely different treatment, and getting that wrong is the usual reason drops disappoint.

What should I expect at my first comprehensive eye exam?

Allow 45 to 60 minutes, plus 20 to 30 more if you are choosing eyewear. Bring your insurance cards, current glasses, contact lens boxes and a medication list. Most patients have Optomap retinal imaging rather than dilation, so you can drive yourself home.

Do you take my insurance?

We work with VSP, EyeMed, Avesis, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicare, Aetna and other plans. Call us with your details and we will verify your specific benefits before your appointment.

Where are you and how do I get there?

We are at 15215 S 48th St Ste 180, Phoenix, AZ 85044, in Ahwatukee Foothills at 48th Street just off Chandler Boulevard, a few minutes from the I-10 Chandler Boulevard exit. Free ground-level parking directly outside with accessible spaces and step-free entry.
